We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cash Reconciliation Specialist to support the company's accounting and cash management operations.
The idóneo candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in Accounting, preferably with hands-on experience in cash reconciliation and bank reconciliation. This role will be responsible for reconciling cash transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies, supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate accounting records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile the company's cash transactions and bank accounts.
- Perform daily and periodic bank and cash reconciliations.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies between accounting records, payments, and collections.
- Review transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper accounting treatment.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare and maintain financial and reconciliation reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Analyze cash movements and account balances to identify inconsistencies or unusual transactions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to investigate and resolve payment and collection discrepancies.
- Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.
- Assist different internal departments with accounting and cash-related inquiries.
- Ensure reconciliation activities are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
- Support continuous improvement of cash management and reconciliation processes.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with cash reconciliation and/or bank reconciliation is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial transactions.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and investigate their root causes.
