ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and scale the analytics and reporting platform powering business intelligence across nearly 300 theater locations.

The role focuses on designing AWS-based data pipelines and building QuickSight dashboards and embedded analytics that turn large, complex datasets into reliable, decision-ready reporting.

The idóneo candidate has strong experience with AWS data infrastructure, QuickSight or comparable BI tools, SQL, and data modeling, and can own reporting solutions end to end — from raw data pipelines to business-facing dashboards. Experience with React/Ruby on Rails is a plus but secondary to the data and reporting responsibilities.





KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, and optimize data pipelines integrating databases, APIs, data lakes, and warehouses.
- Create and maintain AWS QuickSight dashboards, datasets, calculated fields, parameters, and embedded analytics.
- Implement row-level security, data governance, and reporting performance optimization.
- Write complex SQL queries and ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
- Build cloud-native data solutions using AWS services including S3, Athena, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Design scalable data models and schemas for self-service reporting.
- Contribute to architecture and technical decisions across the data and analytics platform.
- Improve CI/CD, deployment automation, monitoring, reliability, and scalability of data pipelines.
- Support reporting and analytics features in React/Ruby on Rails applications as needed.
