Position Title: Phlebotomy Program Coordinator

Location: Technical College of the Rockies

Department: Allied Health

Reports to: Director of Programming

Employment Status: Part-Time

Hours: Dependent on cohort offerings

The Program Coordinator provides instructional leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction for an assigned career and technical education program. Working under the supervision of the Director of Programming, the Program Coordinator ensures the program meets institutional goals, industry expectations, and all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. This position supports instructors, oversees curriculum and scheduling, maintains compliance, develops business and community partnerships, and promotes continuous program improvement while fostering student success.

Minimum Qualifications:

? Degree, industry certification, or credential appropriate to the assigned program.

? Minimum of 4,000 hours of recent occupational experience within the program area, or as otherwise required by Colorado Community College System (CCCS), Colorado Department of Education (CDE), or program approval requirements.

? Ability to obtain and maintain a Colorado Career and Technical Education (CTE) credential.

? Broad knowledge of current industry standards, equipment, technologies, and best practices.

? Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

? Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, student information systems, and learning management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

? Previous leadership or supervisory experience.

? Postsecondary or secondary teaching experience.

? Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.

? Experience managing budgets, grants, or Perkins funding.

? Experience with accreditation, program approval, or regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

? Program Leadership and Administration

? Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of assigned instructional programs.

? Collaborate with the Director of Programming to establish program goals, priorities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

? Develop semester schedules and coordinate instructional staffing assignments.

? Support instructors through mentoring, coaching, and regular communication.

? Monitor program effectiveness using student achievement, enrollment, completion, credential attainment, and workforce outcome data.

? Coordinate program operations to ensure consistency, efficiency, and student success.

? Curriculum and Instruction





? Oversee curriculum development and ensure instructional content aligns with approved program standards.

? Review and support the development of syllabi, lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments.

? Ensure curriculum remains aligned with Colorado Common Course Numbering System (CCNS), where applicable, institutional requirements, industry standards, and accreditation expectations.

? Promote instructional excellence through collaboration, professional development, and instructional innovation.

? Compliance and Accreditation

? Maintain compliance with all institutional, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.

? Coordinate program approval documentation, annual reviews, and accreditation reporting.

? Maintain program documentation, policies, and records required for audits and accreditation visits.

? Monitor instructor credentialing and certification requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.

? Student Success and Community Engagement

? Meet with prospective students and assist with recruitment activities.

? Support student retention and completion initiatives.

? Collaborate with Student Services to address student needs and remove barriers to success.

? Develop and maintain relationships with business, industry, and community partners.

? Represent the College at recruitment events, advisory committee meetings, and community functions.

? Support instructors in addressing student academic, attendance, and conduct concerns through timely intervention, documentation, coaching, and implementation of College policies before referral to College administration.

? Advisory Committees and Industry Partnerships

? Recruit, organize, and facilitate advisory committee meetings in accordance with institutional and accreditation requirements.

? Maintain active relationships with employers to ensure the curriculum reflects workforce needs.

? Utilize advisory committee recommendations to strengthen program quality and relevance.

? Budget, Facilities, and Resources

? Assist in the development and management of program budgets.

? Develop and manage Carl D. Perkins grant requests and other funding opportunities.

? Maintain inventories of instructional equipment, tools, supplies, and materials.

? Coordinate equipment purchases, maintenance, and replacement planning.

? Ensure classrooms, laboratories, and instructional spaces remain safe, organized, and conducive to learning.

? Ability to establish productive relationships with students, faculty, employers, and community stakeholders.

? Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.

? Commitment to professionalism, collaboration, and student-centered decision-making.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

This position is performed primarily in an office and educational environment with regular time spent in classrooms, laboratories, and industry-specific instructional spaces. Depending on the assigned program, occasional lifting, demonstration of technical skills, travel to clinical or business partner sites, and extended periods of standing or walking may be required.
