At Oktana, we are looking for a Data Engineer to join a team building secure, scalable, and trusted HR data solutions for an international environment.

In this role, you’ll work with Snowflake, dbt, Python, Airflow, BigQuery, and REST APIs, developing data pipelines, data models, and analytical datasets that support HR insights and business decision-making.

What you’ll do:

- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Python, dbt, and Airflow.
- Design and optimize Snowflake data models, data marts, and data warehouse solutions.
- Develop highly optimized SQL queries and work with Google BigQuery.
- Integrate and ingest data from different sources, including REST APIs.
- Work with large-scale and sensitive data while maintaining strong security and data quality standards.
- Build and maintain data models and documentation for partner teams.
- Support real-time or near-real-time data processing from APIs and other sources.
- Contribute to data quality, testing, monitoring, and pipeline reliability.
- Design semantic layers and business-friendly data models that can be consumed by BI tools and AI agents.
- Explore technologies such as Snowflake Cortex,



LLM-based data querying, and MCP to make certified data accessible through AI-powered experiences.

What we’re looking for:

- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong experience with Snowflake, dbt, Python, Airflow, and SQL.
- Experience with data modeling, data marts, and data warehouse design.
- Experience integrating data through REST APIs.
- Experience querying and optimizing Google BigQuery.
- Strong understanding of data security, quality, and documentation.
- Advanced English communication skills.
- Experience working with cloud data platforms and large-scale datasets.

Nice to have:

- Semantic layer or semantic modeling experience.
- Snowflake Cortex Analyst or Cortex Search.
- MCP or similar AI/tool-calling frameworks.
- Prompt or context engineering for LLM-based data applications.
- Experience building AI agents connected to trusted data sources.
