About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer, Data Governance to help build and enhance our enterprise data capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern data pipelines while embedding data quality, metadata management, and governance practices throughout the data lifecycle.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, and cross-functional teams to ensure trusted, high-quality data is available to support critical business decisions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys both hands-on engineering and driving data governance excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that incorporate data quality, metadata, and governance standards from the outset.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify, document, and prioritize Critical Data Elements (CDEs).
- Develop and maintain metadata repositories, business glossaries, and integrations with enterprise data catalog solutions.
- Implement automated data quality controls, validation rules, monitoring, and alerting across data ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers.
- Support data lineage tracking and metadata capture throughout the data ecosystem.
- Collaborate with general, cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver impactful data solutions.
- Translate business requirements into effective technical designs and implementations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data governance and data management practices.

Required Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Governance, Data Management,



or a related field.
- Proven experience designing, building, and supporting data pipelines and data platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience implementing and supporting cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or similar technologies.
- Experience with modern ETL/ELT tools and data integration frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience implementing metadata management, data quality controls, governance frameworks, and lineage capabilities within data pipelines.
- Understanding of data governance disciplines, including:
- Metadata Management
- Master Data Management (MDM)
- Reference Data Management
- Data Quality Management
- Data Lineage
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple teams, regions, and business functions.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with enterprise data catalog tools and governance platforms.
- Knowledge of data observability and automated data quality frameworks.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise data environments.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
