HB Design and Engineering (HBDE), an architecture and engineering firm serving all 67 counties in Florida, is looking for a versatile Civil Engineer with strong Revit modeling skills to join our team.
About the role:
This position supports the technical development of engineering projects by combining BIM modeling expertise with foundational knowledge of hydraulic design and structural principles. The idóneo candidate bridges drafting precision with engineering judgment, helping ensure that stormwater and hydraulic solutions integrate seamlessly with structural and architectural systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate detailed three-dimensional models using Revit
- Produce technical documentation and construction drawings, applying prior drafting experience
- Assist in the design, layout, and calculation of stormwater collection systems and hydraulic networks
- Provide support on basic structural calculations and element verification per project requirements
- Collaborate across disciplines to ensure hydraulic solutions don't conflict with structural or architectural design
Required profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Proven experience working as a Drafter, with strong command of drawing representation standards
- Advanced/full proficiency in Revit — able to model, coordinate, and extract technical documentation directly from the software (required)
- Experience or strong demonstrated interest in hydraulic network design, drainage, runoff management, and stormwater systems (preferred)
- Solid foundational knowledge of structural behavior, basic calculations, and preliminary sizing — able to communicate effectively with the lead structural engineer
