Data Engineer – Data Science

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with a strong programming and engineering background to join our Data Science team, supporting a leading integral telecommunications and technology company. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with GCP, BigQuery, Python, SQL, and BI, and will play a key role in building scalable data solutions while helping drive the team’s evolution toward advanced analytics, predictive and prescriptive modeling, and AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Develop and optimize data solutions using GCP and BigQuery.
- Prepare and transform data for analytics, Data Science, and AI use cases.
- Partner closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineering teams.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance.
- Support reporting and analytics through BI tools.
- Help operationalize predictive, prescriptive, and AI-driven solutions.

Required Qualifications:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.




- Strong programming skills, particularly Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools.
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data modeling, and large datasets.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience working with APIs and cloud-based data architectures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

- Experience with predictive and prescriptive analytics.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI concepts and workflows.
- Experience preparing data for ML/AI models.
- Exposure to MLOps or productionizing Data Science solutions.
