Qualifications

Required

- 6+ years of NetSuite development experience
- Expert proficiency in SuiteScript 2.x and 2.1 across Suitelet, RESTlet, User Event, Client, Map/Reduce, and Scheduled script types
- Proven experience delivering at least one Suitelet-served user interface beyond N/ui/serverWidget using raw HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Strong proficiency in SuiteQL and N/search, with sound judgment in selecting the appropriate tool based on technical requirements and limitations
- Hands-on experience with SDF, SuiteCloud CLI, and Git in a team-based development and code review environment
- Experience in manufacturing, inventory, or field-service environments involving work orders, lots, bins, inventory commitments, or dispatch scheduling
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve colliding User Event scripts, race conditions, and other NetSuite concurrency issues

Preferred

- Experience customizing NextService or a comparable NetSuite field service management platform
- SuiteCloud Developer II certification
- Experience building OAuth 2.0 machine-to-machine integrations and using REST Web Services record APIs
- Proficiency in Python or another server-side language for integration tooling
- Experience creating BFO or Advanced PDF templates, including combined packet PDFs and shop tickets

Responsibilities

SuiteScript Development

- Build and maintain SuiteScript 2.1 solutions across 4 subsidiaries
- Develop Suitelets as complete single-page applications using server-rendered HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript
- Create applications for quote-to-sales-order conversion, floorplan room entry, piece entry, production runs, shop tickets, diagnostic dashboards, and field-service scheduling
- Connect framework-free front-end interfaces to secure server-side POST handlers
- Develop Client scripts and Workflow Action scripts for capture shims, page-level validation,



and customized forms

RESTlets and Integrations

- Develop authenticated RESTlets that provide dashboard content and write-path APIs to external systems
- Build integration endpoints for task scheduling, crew assignment, and other operational processes
- Design secure authentication and session management for stateless RESTlet endpoints
- Implement OAuth 2.0 machine-to-machine integrations using client credentials, PS256-signed JWT assertions, and certificate management
- Manage REST record creation and transformation flows, including mandatory fields, line keys, and constraint fields
- Support integrations with an external diagnostic platform built with Python, FastAPI, React, and PostgreSQL

User Events and Concurrency

- Develop User Event scripts in an account containing multiple internal and partner scripts
- Manage script contention using shared locks, re-entrancy controls, and execution-context checks
- Select the appropriate execution point between beforeSubmit and afterSubmit
- Diagnose and resolve race conditions, overlapping events, duplicate processing, and unexpected record changes

Bulk Processing

- Build Map/Reduce and Scheduled scripts for inventory commitment sweeps, data backfills, and template-repair jobs
- Design bulk processes around NetSuite governance limits and yielding requirements
- Ensure scripts can be rerun safely without duplicating or corrupting data

Field Service Management

- Maintain and extend the NextService-based field-service environment and its in-house customizations
- Enhance the scheduling board, including task mirroring, geocoding, quick assignment, crew filtering, and live-map functionality
- Support the mobile Suitelet used by field crews
- Manage mappings between project tasks and field-service task types
- Resolve partner-script issues affecting crew assignments, rescheduling, and task synchronization

Project-Task Scheduling

- Maintain the project-task cascade engine used for template-seeded schedules
- Develop date cascades covering measurement, fabrication, and installation activities
- Apply builder-specific turnaround requirements and weekend scheduling rules
- Maintain shared locks that protect overlapping User Event scripts from schedule corruption

Order-to-Cash Automation

- Develop quote-to-sales-order transformation processes
- Build floorplan order lines involving rooms, pieces, follower lines, item groups, member pricing, and special price-book rates
- Automate project creation, work-order processing, and fulfillment activities
- Troubleshoot failures across interconnected order-to-cash workflows





Manufacturing and Inventory

- Develop work-order creation processes with line-location stamping
- Support production runs involving lot-numbered stone inventory
- Maintain inventory commitment processes, including scripts that reclaim stock from dormant orders
- Automate item receipts for purchase orders and advance shipping notices
- Maintain automatic item fulfillment processes

Diagnostics and Data

- Maintain and extend the Health Hub Suitelet suite, including one deployed hub and 9 dashboard modules
- Ensure operational dashboards present accurate, reliable, and actionable information
- Use SuiteQL, N/search, and REST Web Services according to their respective capabilities and limitations
- Investigate differences involving supported columns, formula text, joins, and record behavior
- Select the appropriate query method for each technical and operational requirement

Engineering Standards

- Manage source code through SDF, SuiteCloud CLI, and Git
- Prepare selective deployment manifests and control object dependencies
- Follow a strictly controlled sandbox-to-production deployment process
- Participate in code reviews and maintain clear technical documentation
- Create golden-master tests, parity checks, and runnable tests for critical logic
- Conduct root-cause investigations using execution logs, script notes, and live SuiteQL queries
- Maintain shared AMD libraries for line building, price-book reading, page layouts, and material grids
- Protect related applications when modifying reusable components
