As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our next-generation payment platform. This position requires strong hands-on experience with distributed systems, Java-based microservices, and high-volume transaction processing. - Design, architect, and develop backend software solutions for high-volume payment processing
- Create and maintain high-quality, optimized code with robust unit tests and appropriate test coverage
- Develop scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions using Java and Spring technologies




- Contribute to the evolution of the payment platform and its underlying architecture
- Lead the design and architecture of complex distributed systems that handle real-time financial transactions at scale
- Take a lead role in the transition to a microservices-based architecture for payments
- Design and implement solutions based on Event-Driven Software Design Patterns
- Ensure systems meet high standards of scalability, security, and reliability
- Lead the integration of payment gateways, banks, card networks, and alternative payment methods
- Work with payment flows, settlement, reconciliation, and fraud detection mechanisms
- Contribute to the development of solutions supporting high-volume financial transactions
- Design and develop secure and scalable RESTful APIs
- Implement and work with OAuth2 Security, JWT, and SSO mechanisms
- Ensure the security and reliability of payment-related services and integrations

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize cloud-based solutions

Requirements The professional must be based in Colombia. Education &

- Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field
- 7 years of experience in backend software development
- Desirable: experience leading teams and architecting payment systems
- Proven working experience in the FinTech/Payments industry

- Deep knowledge of Java 11+
- Strong experience with Spring Boot
- Strong experience with Spring Cloud (Netflix OSS)
- Strong experience with JPA ORM
