Location:The da Vinci AcademyRecruiting Start Date:09/11/2026 This posting will be open at least five (5) days after the recruiting start date.Estimated Start Date:09/18/2026Performs activities related to coordinating a library within a school building and may include shelving books and materials, updating library information, checking out books and materials, and assisting students/volunteers in using the library. The district reserves the right to modify or change the duties or the essential functions of this job at any time.Reports consistently for work as scheduledPerforms other duties as assignedAttains proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance StandardsAssists students in finding materials and books in the libraryAssists teachers in locating materials for classroom, and assembles materials for teachers' use as directedAssists with development and coordination of activities to introduce patrons to the libraryAttends meetings as requiredChecks books in and out with studentsConducts library skills sessions for studentsCreates special displays for library, such as holiday displays, and special events to stimulate student interestEnters information into computer on new booksMaintains computer records of library books, magazines, materials, patrons, and other informationMaintains library, shelves books, and keeps library materials, shelves, and work areas organizedMaintains student files,



updating information as appropriateMends and repairs books as neededOperates the network system in the buildingPrepares bulletin boards in the libraryProcesses all inter-library loansProcesses and contacts students and staff regarding overdue noticesProvides reference assistance to students and staffSchedules the rooms in the libraryUpdates and maintains computerized catalog and labels for all new booksWorks with students in one-to-one and group situationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to adapt to changing technologies and to learn functionality of new equipment and systemsAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to create, access, input, retrieve, and manipulate information in various software systemsAbility to establish and maintain accurate record keeping, document management, and filing systemsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from many diverse backgrounds and professions including supervisors, administrators, coworkers, staff, students, parents, and the general publicAbility to follow oral and written instructionsAbility to greet and interact with the public in a courteous and professional mannerAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to manage simultaneous demands and set clear prioritiesAbility to perform routine bookkeeping and clerical accounting tasks effectively and efficientlyAbility to work days, hours, locations,
