First Pay is a growing North American payments and financial technology company providing payment processing and technology solutions to businesses across Canada and the United States. We work with leading payment processors, technology providers, software platforms, and merchants to deliver integrated payment solutions across in-store, online, mobile, and unattended environments.

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Technical Program Manager to oversee and drive multiple projects across the company.

The Role

You will be responsible for keeping First Pay’s key projects organized, progressing, and on schedule.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can understand both the business and technical sides of a project, identify what needs to happen next, assign and track responsibilities, follow up with stakeholders, resolve blockers, and ensure commitments are completed.

You will work directly with First Pay leadership as well as internal teams, clients, payment processors, software partners, developers, and other external stakeholders.

You do not need to be a software developer, but you must be comfortable understanding technical concepts, integrations, APIs, system requirements, testing, and implementation processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage multiple technical and business projects simultaneously from initiation through completion.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and task ownership.
- Coordinate internal teams, clients, developers, payment processors, technology partners, ISVs, and vendors.
- Maintain a clear understanding of the technical and business requirements of each project.
- Proactively follow up with stakeholders to ensure tasks and deliverables are completed on time.
- Identify blockers, risks, and dependencies before they impact project timelines.
- Escalate issues when necessary and drive them toward resolution.




- Lead project meetings and ensure clear action items, owners, and deadlines are established.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and provide concise status updates to leadership.
- Coordinate technical integrations, testing, certifications, implementations, and launches.
- Continuously improve project-management processes and visibility across the organization.

What We’re Looking For

- 4+ years of experience in project management, program management, technical project management, implementation, or a related role.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Highly proactive — you follow up, take ownership, and drive projects forward without needing constant direction.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Comfortable working with technical teams and understanding APIs, integrations, software platforms, and technical requirements.
- Experience using project-management tools such as Jira, Asana, Monday.com, ClickUp, or similar.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working remotely and independently during Eastern Time business hours.

Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:

- Fintech or payment processing
- Banking or financial services
- SaaS or technology companies
- API and software integrations
- POS or e-commerce technology
- Merchant onboarding or payment implementations
- Agile software-development environments

What Success Looks Like You become the central point of visibility and accountability for First Pay’s active projects.

At any time, you should be able to clearly communicate where each project stands, what needs to happen next, who is responsible, what is outstanding, what could delay the project, and what needs to be escalated.

Most importantly, you take ownership of moving projects forward rather than simply reporting on their status.
