Role Overview

We are seeking an L1 Storage Infrastructure Specialist to provide day-to-day operational support for IBM DS8000 storage, SAN infrastructure, IBM iSeries, and storage replication in a mission-critical banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and support IBM DS8000 (DS8K) storage environments.
- Perform basic storage provisioning, allocation, and capacity monitoring.
- Monitor Metro Mirror / Global Mirror replication and escalate issues.
- Troubleshoot basic storage alerts, connectivity, and performance issues.
- Support Cisco MDS and Brocade SAN switches and perform SAN zoning.
- Monitor Fibre Channel connectivity, multipathing, and storage paths.
- Provide storage-related support for IBM i / AS400 environments.
- Monitor infrastructure using IBM Storage Insights.
- Support DR exercises and follow established runbooks.




- Monitor Cyber Vault and immutable storage environments.
- Handle incidents, requests, and changes following ITIL processes.
- Participate in 24x7 production support and escalation activities.

Required Skills

- IBM DS8000 storage administration/support.
- Basic Metro Mirror / Integral Mirror knowledge.
- IBM i / AS400 storage support.
- Cisco MDS and/or Brocade SAN administration.
- SAN zoning, Fibre Channel, and multipathing fundamentals.
- Storage monitoring and capacity management.
- Basic DR and replication concepts.
- IBM Storage Insights.
- ITIL-based incident and change management.

Preferred

- Banking/financial-services experience.
- Exposure to Cyber Vault and immutable storage.
- IBM Storage certifications.
- Basic Shell or Python scripting.
