Gimnasio Colombo Británico (GCB) is looking for an enthusiastic, committed, and passionate Independent Primary Teacher to join our educational community.

About the role

As an Independent Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where students can develop academically, socially, and emotionally. You will plan and deliver meaningful learning experiences, assess student progress, and work collaboratively with colleagues and families to support each child's development.

Key responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and educational standards. Foster a positive, inclusive, student-centered classroom environment. Monitor and assess students' academic, social, and emotional development. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Maintain effective communication with families regarding student progress and development. Collaborate with Primary colleagues, coordinators, and other members of the educational community. Actively participate in school activities,



events, and professional development opportunities. Contribute to the school's culture, values, and commitment to high-quality education.

We're looking for

A Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field. Previous teaching experience in primary education. Excellent English communication skills. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. A student-centered approach to teaching and learning. Flexibility, creativity, teamwork, and a genuine passion for working with children. International teaching experience or experience in bilingual/international schools is highly valued.
