Description:

We are seeking a Collections Specialist to join our dynamic team. The adecuado candidate will have a minimum of 6 months of experience in U.S. third-party collections and a strong understanding of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The role requires bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish, as effective communication with a diverse customer base is essential.

As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and resolving outstanding debts, negotiating payment terms, and maintaining professional relationships with clients to ensure prompt payment while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:





- Debt Collection: Manage and follow up on a portfolio of delinquent accounts by contacting customers via phone, email, or mail.

- Negotiation & Resolution: Negotiate payment arrangements with customers to bring accounts current, ensuring payments are made according to agreed-upon terms.

- Customer Communication: Effectively communicate with customers in both English and Spanish to explain outstanding balances, resolve disputes, and offer payment solutions.

- Compliance: Adhere strictly to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other relevant state/federal regulations while handling sensitive customer information.

- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document all communication and payment arrangements in the system and provide regular status reports to management.

- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing, payment disputes, or account issues, providing timely solutions and explanations to clients.

Role Requirements:

- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in U.S. third-party collections.

- Knowledge of FDCPA: Familiarity with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and its application in collections.





- Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers in both languages.

- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
