Organizational context: The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) serves as the Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Job purpose: To conduct a mapping and diagnosis of public and private health services, as well as civil society and community-based organizations serving the health needs of LGBTIQ+ populations in prioritized municipalities in Colombia.
Responsibilities
- Map the availability and access to health services for LGBTIQ+ individuals, evaluating barriers.
- Assess the quality and competence of healthcare for LGBTIQ+ populations, including staff training and inclusive practices.
- Map community organizations and civil society groups working on health access and rights.
- Identify coordination and referral mechanisms between community organizations and health services.
- Present consolidated results and recommendations.
- Participate in project meetings.
- Comply with policies on prevention and response to sexual exploitation and abuse.
- Complete mandatory online courses.

Education
- Professional degree in health or social sciences.




- Postgraduate degree in public health, social sciences, or public policy, with a focus on human rights, LGBTQI+ health, gender diversity, gender identity, sexual orientation, or gender studies.

Work experience
- 3 years of work experience in human rights, LGBTQI+ health, gender diversity, gender identity, sexual orientation, gender studies, stigma and discrimination, or health equity.
- Previous experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
- Experience in developing technical reports, systematizing initiatives, baseline diagnostics, or strategic planning.
- Desirable: Experience working with international organizations/UN.

Skills
- Ability to relate to governmental and non-governmental counterparts and diverse populations.
- Ability to work by deliverables and autonomously.
- Skill in information gathering, technical report writing, and moderating meetings and workshops.
