About the Role

Our client is seeking an Accountant with solid experience in Colombian accounting and tax compliance to support a portfolio of foreign-owned entities in Colombia. You will play a key role in monthly accounting, tax compliance, financial reporting, and accounting support for international clients.

Your work will directly contribute to the accurate and timely fulfillment of local compliance obligations, as well as the delivery of reliable financial information to international clients and their headquarters.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly accounting processes and maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with Colombian accounting regulations and applicable IFRS requirements.




- Prepare and support the timely filing of Colombian tax obligations, including VAT, withholding taxes, income tax, and other applicable returns and reports before DIAN.
- Manage electronic invoicing processes, including issuance, receipt, validation, reconciliation, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Use DIAN digital platforms and other Colombian government systems to file returns, respond to requests, and maintain organized compliance documentation.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules for foreign headquarters, including reconciliation and mapping of Colombian financial information under IFRS or US GAAP when required.
- Reconcile accounting records related to payroll, social security, and other employment-related obligations with the general ledger, in coordination with payroll and HR teams.
