We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Automation Engineer to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will help streamline and optimize business processes by designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps, RPA, low-code/no-code technologies, Azure services, and AI-based tools.
You will work closely with Automation Architects, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, reliable, and user-friendly solutions that drive efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization.
What's unique about this job (What you’ll do)
Automation & Solution Development
- Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Platform.
- Develop applications and automated processes using RPA and low-code/no-code technologies.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, reliable, and user-friendly automation solutions.
- Integrate automation solutions with existing systems, databases, and applications.
Azure & AI Automation
- Build and deploy automation workloads using Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Functions, Storage, Service Bus, and Logic Apps.
- Apply AI and GenAI technologies such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, and AI Builder to automate or enhance business processes.
- Evaluate emerging automation and AI technologies and recommend solutions that can improve business capabilities.
Continuous Improvement & Quality
- Review and optimize existing automation workflows to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
- Perform testing and quality assurance before deploying solutions to production.
- Troubleshoot automation-related issues and implement improvements based on user feedback and business needs.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
- Partner with Automation Architects, Data Engineers, and cross-functional teams to define priorities and solution approaches.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at different organizational levels to gather requirements and communicate project progress.
- Create technical documentation and provide training to end users to support successful adoption of automation solutions.
Bring your passion and expertise (Who you are)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in automation engineering, RPA, low-code/no-code development, and systems integration.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Platform.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and services commonly used for automation.
- Experience applying AI/GenAI tools to business automation use cases.
- Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, databases, APIs, and systems integration.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, collaboration, adaptability, and continuous learning.
- Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps, RPA, or related technologies are a plus.
