We partner with operators running companies generating $1–2M in EBITDA, providing financial infrastructure, reporting, and operational support so they can focus on growing their businesses.

Our LATAM-based team plays a critical role by owning core finance functions across multiple companies and delivering reliable, high-quality execution.

The Role

As an Operational Finance Controller, you will manage the financial operations of a portfolio of 7–10 US-based small businesses .

This is a hands-on controller role , not a pure FP&A; position. You will be responsible for the full finance function — including accounting operations, AR/AP oversight, reporting, and cash management — ensuring each business runs with accurate, reliable financials.

You will work directly with acquisition entrepreneurs and business owners, helping them understand their numbers and operate more effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

- Own end-to-end finance and accounting operations across multiple SMBs
- Oversee and review month-end close ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Ensure proper execution of core accounting processes (AR, AP, GL)
- Maintain clean, accurate financial records and general ledgers
- Coordinate internal teams or external accountants as needed

Reporting & Financial Visibility

- Prepare and review monthly financial statements per entity
- Deliver reporting packages with clear insights for operators
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards aligned to each business
- Perform variance analysis vs budget and prior periods

Cash Flow Management (Core Focus)

- Own cash flow visibility and management across all entities
- Build and maintain 13-week cash flow forecasts




- Monitor liquidity and ensure operational sustainability
- Identify risks and provide actionable recommendations
- Support working capital optimization (AR/AP coordination, timing)

Operator & Client Management

- Act as a finance partner to acquisition entrepreneurs and CEOs
- Own the financial service delivery across your portfolio of clients
- Ensure alignment with the Head of Finance Operations on priorities, quality, and execution
- Monitor and ensure compliance with SLAs, timelines, and deliverables
- Proactively communicate with clients on financial performance, issues, and deadlines
- Support onboarding of newly acquired businesses
- Identify inefficiencies and opportunities to improve margins and operations

Process, Controls & Compliance

- Implement and maintain practical internal controls for SMB environments
- Ensure consistency and standardization across entities
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and organized records
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and accounting best practices

Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or controller roles
- Strong experience managing full accounting cycles (AR, AP, GL)
- Solid understanding of US GAAP
- Experience working with US-based small or mid-sized businesses (preferred)
- Experience managing multiple entities or clients simultaneously
- Strong understanding of financial statements and cash flow management
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar systems
- English level C1+, Business English is Mandatory
