Project Optometrist

We are currently looking for a Project Optometrist to join our team in Bogotá, Colombia.

The position supports an international operation focused on the quality and accuracy of optical prescription verification and validation, working closely with operational and expert teams to maintain high standards and continuously improve our processes.

About the Position

As a Project Optometrist, you will provide professional optometric expertise to support quality governance, prescription validation, training, and continuous improvement across the operation.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Conducting detailed quality reviews of verified optical prescriptions and identifying opportunities to improve accuracy and consistency.
- Providing expert guidance on the interpretation and validation of optical prescriptions.
- Training and coaching Data Entry Specialists on the correct interpretation of eyeglass prescriptions.
- Supporting the development and continuous improvement of training materials and professional guidelines.
- Identifying recurring quality trends and contributing to corrective actions and process improvements.
- Participating in research, data analysis, and initiatives that support operational improvement.
- Collaborating with internal and international stakeholders regarding market-specific requirements.
- Sharing technical knowledge with colleagues and supporting the development of overall team capabilities.





What We Are Looking For

- Professional degree in Optometry with the appropriate professional registration/licensing to practice in Colombia.
- Strong knowledge and experience in optical prescription interpretation and validation.
- Experience in quality control, clinical review, training, or technical guidance.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.
- Ability to identify trends, investigate quality issues, and contribute to process improvements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an international and multicultural environment.
- Professional working proficiency in English is desirable.

It Would Be an Advantage

- Experience training, coaching, or mentoring professionals.
- Experience working with quality assurance or regulated processes.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting, particularly using Excel.
- Experience working in international or multinational organizations.
