To provide guests with an outstanding experience through exceptional service while assisting the manager in reaching the sales goals and minimize shrinkage. Teammates will reach these goals through quality-prepared food and great guest service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Consistently demonstrate the Woods Supermarket D>E service and Hospitality 4
- Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer experience with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service, to create a positive shopping experience.
- To be courteous and helpful to other teammates
- Follows all technical manuals for processing of products, including label placement and packaging.
- Ensure that receiving, preparation, conditioning, and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with company and vendor guidelines. Maintain a complete understanding of these policies.
- Ensures the proper sanitation of department, equipment, food handling, and preparation area are followed in accordance with company policies.
- Report or correct all unsafe conditions that could cause teammate or guest accidents.
- Report all teammate and guest accidents in accordance with established company policy to the manager on duty.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Updating displays, cases, and other customer-facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased.
- Prep, store, rotate and stock merchandise.
- To perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by managers,



which may include: substituting for absent teammates and performing any additional tasks necessary to provide products and services to guests during peak periods of business.
- Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

- Grocery store setting. Inside work with variations in heat/cold/dust/humidity caused by the opening of store entrance doors. Some outside work may be required.

Job Qualifications

- You must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at Woods Supermarket
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Ability to provide and lead others to provide prompt and courteous guest service
- Ability to develop rapport, trust, and open communication that enhances the growth and job performance of store teammates
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- Ability to establish goals, guide teammate performance to ensure the quality and completion of work assignments
- Ability to evaluate and drive performance of self and others
- Ability to understand and apply management principles concerning budgeting, personnel costs, and expenses
- Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
- Ability to safely and properly operate equipment, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler and perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner, following instructions and giving attention to detail
- Meets any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience:

- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
- Prior food handling experience preferred

Teammates age 18 and older will be required to safely handle and operate the following:

- Case cutter
- Utility knife
- Forklift (with proper certification)
- Pallet jack
- Compact Baler

Teammates age 18 and older who work in food prep areas will be required to safely handle and operate the following:

- Slicer
- Oven
- Fryer
- Knives
- Mixers

Safety:

- The teammate will not use drugs or alcohol on the job.
- The teammate will not create a direct threat to the health and safety of others on the job.
