This role sits within the Emergencies and Stabilization unit, responding to a significant earthquake in Colombia that affected over 466,000 people and caused extensive damage to housing and infrastructure.
Job purpose: This consultancy focuses on providing specialized technical assistance for the design and implementation of housing, repair, rehabilitation, and improvement activities under the "Build Back Better" approach. The role is critical in addressing the urgent humanitarian needs arising from a major earthquake in Colombia, which has left thousands of families displaced and exposed to unsafe living conditions. The specialist will advise on safe and resilient housing solutions,



ensuring adherence to technical standards and programmatic guidelines. The purpose is to contribute to the recovery and resilience of affected communities by facilitating the reconstruction of secure and adequate housing, while integrating cross-cutting themes such as protection, gender, and climate resilience.
