We are looking for a Tax Preparation & Accounting Assistant to support our team with tax preparation, data entry, client communication, and day-to-day administrative needs. This is a specialized tax support role requiring a solid understanding of tax terminology, documentation, and accuracy. Beyond tax knowledge, we need someone exceptionally proactive and communicative who follows up without being asked, responds quickly, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks during fast-paced tax seasons.
- Schedule: Part Time (20 hours a week) Thursday and Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM CST.
- Modality: Onsite
- Language Requirements: Advanced English (C1)

Responsibilities
- Tax Data & Document Review: Enter, organize, and review client tax documents for completeness and accuracy using Lacerte Tax and TaxDome before processing.
- Client Communication & Support: Promptly answer incoming phone calls, respond to client and internal emails, and provide professional assistance.
- Proactive Follow-Up: Track down missing client documents, information,



and outstanding items without needing instruction.
- Administrative & Inbox Organization: Maintain accurate client records in tax systems, support inbox management, and handle specialized accounting/tax projects as needed while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Requirements
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience supporting tax preparation, accounting, or CPA/tax firm operations. US tax experience required.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong data-entry skills with high attention to detail; experience with Lacerte Tax and TaxDome.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication, comfortable speaking professionally with clients via phone and email.
- Core Competencies: Extremely responsive, reliable, highly proactive, organized, and capable of managing detail-heavy work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
