Purpose
Responsible for administering benefit programs in alignment with established standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This role also provides support for escalated inquiries from vendor management, leave’s bi-weekly payroll process & resolving data issues. This role works closely with the benefit Vendor Partners, HR Services Total Rewards Delivery teams and the Total Rewards COE to complete administrative tasks and support inquiries on issues related to benefit processes.
Accountabilities
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Ensures the accurate and timely processing of employee benefits data, including data maintenance and updating
- Provides support by answering inquiries and resolving issues related to benefit programs/plans, escalating high risk issues to Manager, Benefits & Leaves Experience where appropriate
- Ensures the delivery of benefit procedures and processes are in compliance with standards and SLAs
- Liaises with benefits vendors to resolve inquiries and issues including benefit appeals, short and long term disability, life insurance etc.
- Seeks opportunities to improve or enhance processes, procedures and technologies related to benefits, proposes recommendations to Manager, Benefits & Leaves Experience
- Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
