We are looking for a Junior Java Backend Developer to help design, develop, and maintain backend solutions for enterprise systems, working under the guidance of senior team members. This role involves exposure to modern Java and Spring technologies, batch processing, relational databases, and CI/CD pipelines, while learning and applying best coding practices. The professional will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and use Large Language Models (LLMs) to support development tasks and grow technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of backend applications using Java 17+ and Spring Framework / Spring Batch (2.x+);
- assist in implementing and testing batch processing solutions under senior guidance;
- help develop and maintain data access layers and SQL logic using Oracle Database;
- support database schema changes and migrations using Flyway;
- use Bitbucket for source code versioning, pull requests, and code reviews;
- contribute to and help maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins;
- write clean,
maintainable code by learning and applying SOLID principles and best practices;
- use prompt engineering techniques with LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to support development and troubleshooting tasks;
- track and update tasks using Jira;
- and actively participate in technical discussions, asking questions and sharing ideas.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Have)
- Basic to intermediate experience with Java 17 or higher;
- familiarity with Spring Framework and Spring Batch (2.x or higher);
- exposure to Oracle Database and SQL;
- willingness to learn database versioning and migration tools such as Flyway;
- basic knowledge of Bitbucket for source control;
- interest in or exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins is a plus);
- understanding of SOLID principles and clean code practices, with eagerness to strengthen them;
