Junior Storage Infrastructure Specialist – L1
Job Overview
We are looking for a Junior Storage Infrastructure Specialist to provide day-to-day support for enterprise storage and SAN environments. The role will work with senior engineers to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain IBM DS8000 storage, SAN switches, replication, and IBM i/AS400 environments.
Required Skills
- Basic hands-on experience with IBM DS8000 / DS8K.
- Understanding of Metro Mirror / Global Mirror.
- Knowledge of IBM i / AS400 environments.
- Basic knowledge of Cisco MDS or Brocade SAN switches.
- Understanding of SAN zoning and Fibre Channel.
- Knowledge of storage monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of Disaster Recovery and storage replication.
- Exposure to IBM Storage Insights.




- Basic understanding of Cyber Vault / immutable storage concepts.
- Good troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Exposure to IBM Copy Services Manager (CSM).
- Basic knowledge of PowerHA.
- Exposure to Shell, Python, or Ansible.
- ITIL knowledge or certification.
- Experience supporting banking or financial services environments.

Adecuado Candidate
A junior storage professional with practical exposure to IBM DS8000, SAN, IBM i/AS400, and storage replication. The candidate should be comfortable with monitoring and basic troubleshooting and willing to work closely with senior storage engineers in a production environment.
