Position Overview

This is a fixed-term contract role for approximately 6 months to cover a period of maternity leave, with the possibility of an extension. The Curriculum team at Open English is seeking a Curriculum Development Coordinator. This role blends content production with instructional quality functions.





The Curriculum Development Coordinator is expected to communicate daily with other team members, coordinating as needed with the Content, Quality, and Operations teams to keep lesson content, classroom quality, and multimedia deliverables aligned with OE standards and weekly deadlines.

Responsibilities

- Schedule and upload lesson content for assigned programs.
- Conduct class observations for curriculum and quality checks.
- Support content adaptation for hybrid and asynchronous learning formats.
- Perform quality assurance reviews on curriculum content, including but not limited to: lesson plans, scripts, published materials, including videos, and live class recordings.
- Support multimedia content production.
- Create interactive presentations and content assets for assigned programs.
- Design, format, and revise materials for B2B/B2C courses, with weekly deliverables.
- Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

- C1+ English proficiency.
- Native or highly fluent Spanish.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field preferred.
- Experience conducting classroom or content observations for quality/QA purposes preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and Google Drive Suite.
- Familiarity with LCMS/LMS platforms or content authoring tools.
- Excellent eye for detail and accuracy across both content production and quality review.
- Comfortable working across multiple content formats: print, video, interactive/eLearning, and in-person materials.
- Experience with basic multimedia production and light image/video editing (e.g., Canva) is a plus.
- TEFL/TESOL certification or English teaching experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage weekly deliverables and adhere to strict deadlines.
