We are looking for a Storage Infrastructure Specialist – L1 to provide operational support for enterprise storage and SAN environments within a mission-critical banking infrastructure.
The professional will support IBM DS8000 storage, SAN infrastructure, IBM iSeries/AS400 environments, storage replication, and Disaster Recovery operations.
? Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and support IBM DS8000 (DS8K) storage environments
- Perform routine storage provisioning and allocation
- Monitor storage capacity and utilization
- Monitor Metro Mirror and Global Mirror replication
- Perform basic troubleshooting of storage alerts and connectivity issues
- Support Cisco MDS and/or Brocade SAN switches
- Perform SAN zoning following approved procedures
- Monitor Fibre Channel paths and multipathing
- Support IBM iSeries/AS400 storage-related incidents
- Monitor infrastructure using IBM Storage Insights
- Support Disaster Recovery exercises and follow established runbooks
- Monitor Cyber Vault and immutable storage environments
- Handle incidents, requests, and changes following ITIL processes
- Maintain operational documentation
- Participate in 24x7 production support and escalation procedures
