Senior Full Stack Developer | AI Agents & MCP | Healthcare

About the Role

Kavren Technologies is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to build and scale production-grade applications, with a strong focus on AI-powered solutions, AI Agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and complex API integrations.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role for someone who can work with a high degree of autonomy, solve complex technical problems, and contribute across the full application lifecycle — from architecture and development to integration, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

- Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.
- Develop and integrate AI-powered features, AI Agents, and agentic workflows.
- Build and work with MCP-based integrations and tools.
- Design, consume, and integrate REST APIs and third-party services.
- Contribute to application architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Work across frontend and backend systems using modern development practices.
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems and drive solutions through implementation.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
- Produce clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

- 3+ years of professional software development experience with strong Full Stack expertise.




- Strong experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript development.
- Experience with React/Next.js and Node.js or comparable modern full-stack technologies.
- Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications.
- Practical experience with AI Agents, agentic workflows, LLM applications/tool calling, and MCP.
- Strong experience designing and integrating APIs.
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Strong debugging, testing, Git, and code-review practices.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- Professional English communication skills, including technical documentation and conversations with third parties.

Nice to Have

- Experience with athenahealth/athenaOne or other EHR/EMR platforms.
- Experience in healthcare or healthtech environments.
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR or HL7.
- Experience with AWS and CI/CD environments.
- Python experience.
- Experience with RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.
- Experience working in fast-moving startup or product environments.

Engagement

- Full-time, remote.
- Independent contractor engagement.
- Candidates must be able to work with meaningful overlap with Miami/Eastern Time.
- Remote opportunity open to candidates based in Colombia.
