Carrier Capacity & Network Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and relationship-driven Carrier Capacity & Network Specialist to support and strengthen a premium carrier network. This role focuses on identifying specialized transportation capacity, maintaining accurate carrier intelligence, supporting rate gathering initiatives, and ensuring carrier partners receive professional and efficient communication.

The adecuado candidate has experience in logistics, freight brokerage, carrier sales, dispatch, or transportation operations and understands how to develop strong carrier relationships while supporting a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

Capacity Sourcing & Freight Placement

- Research, identify, and engage qualified carrier partners for active freight opportunities.
- Source specialized capacity including Flatbed, Step Deck, Heavy Haul, Hot Shot, Enclosed Van, and other specialized equipment.
- Post available freight using approved platforms and carrier networks.
- Clearly communicate shipment requirements and capacity needs to carriers.
- Monitor market conditions, regional carrier availability, and equipment trends to proactively support capacity planning.

Rate Gathering & Market Intelligence

- Request, collect, and organize carrier pricing for project bids, spot opportunities, and lane development.
- Summarize market rates and provide timely insights to support decision-making.




- Track pricing trends and market conditions to assist internal teams with planning and execution.

Carrier Profile Management & Onboarding

- Build and maintain detailed carrier profiles, including equipment types, operating lanes, service strengths, contact details, performance history, and capacity availability.
- Support onboarding and compliance processes by collecting and verifying required documentation.
- Ensure carrier information remains accurate, current, and easily accessible.

Carrier Relationship Support

- Provide professional, respectful, and responsive communication with carrier partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier owners, dispatchers, and operations teams.
- Escalate pricing conflicts, service concerns, compliance issues, and sensitive relationship matters to the appropriate internal stakeholders.

Required

- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, carrier sales, dispatch, or operations support.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to confidently interact with carrier owners, dispatchers, and operations personnel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong research and data management abilities.
- Commercial awareness and ability to gather information within established authority guidelines.
