We are seeking a versatile

Full-Stack Web Developer to lead a two-phase web project: first, managing an infrastructure migration from an existing Bitnami-packaged Amazon Web Services (AWS) Lightsail instance to a native AWS Lightsail blueprint with an SSL certificate; second, building and refining the user-facing front end.

- Smooth, Zero-Downtime Migration:

The website files, assets, and database are exported from the deprecated Bitnami stack and restored onto the native Lightsail environment with complete data integrity and minimal to no disruption.

- Robust Security & DNS Setup:

SSL/TLS certificates are properly configured (e.g., via Let’s Encrypt / Certbot) with automated renewals and HTTPS enforcement, and DNS/Static IP cutover is executed cleanly.

- Modern, Responsive Front End:

The front end is intuitive, visually polished, fast-loading, and responsive across modern desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers.

- Clear Documentation:

Key server paths, environment configurations, and maintenance guidelines are documented for easy handoff.

Responsibilities

- Infrastructure Migration:

- Create snapshot backups of the running Bitnami instance prior to migration.

- Launch and configure the replacement instance using the appropriate native AWS Lightsail blueprint.

- Export, transfer, and import web application files, media assets, and relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB) to the new environment.

- Verify file ownership, directory permissions, and service daemon configurations in the native environment.

- Security, SSL & Networking:

- Install, configure, and test SSL/TLS certificates (e.g., Certbot / Let's Encrypt) to enforce secure HTTPS connections across all pages.

- Reassign Lightsail Static IPs and configure DNS records (A, CNAME) to complete domain cutover.

- Test post-migration site health, ensuring all links, redirects, and forms function as expected.

- Front-End Development & Optimization:

- Design, build, and deploy clean,



responsive front-end layouts according to project requirements and brand guidelines.

- Optimize site performance, including assets, scripts, and load times, to maximize cross-device usability and accessibility.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any layout inconsistencies, broken scripts, or browser compatibility issues.

- Documentation & Handoff:

- Document all server configuration changes, custom scripts, and admin procedures to ensure maintainability.

QualificationsExperience & Technical Skills

- Cloud & Server Administration:

- Demonstrated hands-on experience managing instances on

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Lightsail or EC2.

- Proficiency with Linux server environments (Ubuntu/Debian or Amazon Linux) via SSH terminal/CLI.

- Practical experience migrating web stacks, including web servers (Apache or NGINX) and databases (MySQL or MariaDB).

- Direct experience generating, installing, and maintaining SSL/TLS certificates and configuring DNS settings.

- Front-End Development:

- Strong proficiency in modern front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and JavaScript.

- Proven track record building mobile-first, responsive user interfaces.

- Experience with relevant CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress custom themes, hooks, or templates) or modern front-end frameworks, depending on project architecture.

- Performance & Security:

- Solid understanding of web performance optimization techniques (caching, asset compression, image optimization) and core web security practices.

Professional & Communication Skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly. English preferred. Spanish considered for the candidate with the necessary skill set.

- Strong self-management, organizational, and time-management capabilities.

- Detail-oriented approach to backup creation, change validation, and rollback planning.

Education &

Certifications (Preferred)

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or equivalent practical experience.

- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate) is a plus.
