About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Fabric Data Engineer to join our growing Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will help design, develop, and support modern data solutions built on the Microsoft Fabric platform. You will be responsible for developing data pipelines, building SQL and PySpark-based transformations, implementing data quality controls, and ensuring reliable data delivery across lakehouse and warehouse environments.

Working closely with senior engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders, you will contribute to building scalable, high-quality data products while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge Microsoft data technologies.

What You'll Do

- Design, develop, test, and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines within Microsoft Fabric.
- Build and maintain SQL and PySpark notebooks for ETL/ELT processes and data transformations.
- Implement automated data quality, validation, and reconciliation checks.
- Investigate and resolve data issues across lakehouse and warehouse layers.
- Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot incidents, and support operational stability.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions that meet business requirements.
- Support CI/CD processes, testing strategies, and deployment activities.
- Contribute to technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Continuously improve data pipeline performance, reliability, and observability.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related technical role.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure , including Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks .




- Strong SQL skills with experience in data modeling, transformation, optimization, and validation.
- Practical experience developing data processing solutions using PySpark .
- Strong understanding of lakehouse architectures, data warehousing concepts, and ETL/ELT patterns.
- Experience implementing data quality checks and troubleshooting data pipeline issues.
- Experience working with Git, version control, and collaborative development practices.
- Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and incident management for data platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

- Experience with Delta Lake and modern lakehouse technologies.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory or Apache Airflow .
- Experience with data testing frameworks such as Great Expectations , dbt Tests , or similar tools.
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring solutions such as Azure Monitor , Prometheus , or Grafana .
- Microsoft Fabric certifications and/or Azure cloud certifications.
