The successful candidate will specialize in the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems installed on port, intermodal, railway, and heavy industrial equipment. This opportunity is intended for a hands-on professional who can combine strong technical knowledge with practical field experience.

The selected candidate must be willing to relocate to Canada and adapt to Canadian operational, safety, and environmental conditions. Main Responsibilities - Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic problems on port, railway, intermodal, and heavy equipment.

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot motors, generators, control panels, sensors, relays, contactors, wiring, and power distribution systems.
- Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled and electro-hydraulic systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, manuals, and equipment documentation.
- Inspect equipment and identify electrical, mechanical, or operational deficiencies.
- Support equipment commissioning, modifications, upgrades, and field repairs.
- Work on equipment such as reach stackers, container-handling equipment, cranes, loaders, locomotives, rail equipment, conveyor systems, and other industrial machinery.
- Document inspections, diagnoses, repairs, parts used, and recommended corrective actions.
- Coordinate with mechanics, operators, supervisors, manufacturers, and equipment suppliers.
- Follow all Canadian workplace health, safety, electrical, and environmental requirements.
- Participate in technical training and continue developing new skills.

Required Qualifications - University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,



or a related field; or - Technical or technological diploma in industrial electricity, electromechanics, automation, or a related discipline, combined with significant practical experience.

- Concrete field experience repairing and maintaining heavy industrial equipment.
- Experience with port, container-handling, railway, mining, marine, or comparable heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting methods.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical documentation.
- Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Professional working proficiency in English is mandatory.
- Ability and willingness to relocate permanently to Canada.
- Valid driver's licence or ability to obtain one in Canada.
- Willingness to work outdoors, travel to operational sites, and respond to equipment breakdowns when required.

Preferred Qualifications - Professional Engineer designation or eligibility to obtain engineering recognition in Canada.

- Experience with PLCs, automation, variable-frequency drives, industrial networks, and electronic control systems.
- Experience with hydraulic and electro-hydraulic systems.
- Experience with cranes, reach stackers, locomotives, railcars, conveyors, loaders, generators, or container-handling equipment.
- Manufacturer-specific technical training or certifications.
- Working knowledge of French.
- A strong desire and demonstrated commitment to learning French after relocation.
