We're a growing trucking and logistics company looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take full ownership of our dispatch function. This person will oversee all trucking dispatch operations end to end and directly manage our team of offshore dispatchers.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in trucking, logistics, or dispatch operations
- Proven experience leading a dispatch team, ideally including remote or offshore staff
- Strong understanding of trucking operations, routing, and compliance basics
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Availability to work standard business hours, Central Time (Chicago)
- Comfortable learning new dispatch/TMS tools and systems
What You'll Do
- Oversee and manage all day-to-day trucking dispatch operations
- Lead and develop a team currently at 6 dispatchers, growing to as many as 12
- Set processes and performance standards to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery
- Monitor compliance with trucking regulations and company policies
- Resolve operational issues and escalations in real time
- Report key metrics and improvement opportunities to leadership
- Hire and train dispatch staff as the team scales
