Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in a law firm, preferably within personal injury law
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Familiarity with case management systems is an advantage
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Excellent communication and client coordination skills
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment
- Confidence in coordinating with multiple stakeholders
- Collaborative approach to working with attorneys and paralegals
Responsibilities
Claim Initiation
- Open claims accurately and promptly with all relevant insurance companies.
- Verify and document all information required for claim submissions and the legal process.
Client Intake
- Conduct initial client intake interviews to gather essential case information.
- Record and maintain accurate client information in the firm's case management system.
Letters of Representation
- Draft and send Letters of Representation to relevant parties, including insurance companies and opposing counsel.
- Track and document responses to Letters of Representation and update case files accordingly.
Evidence Management
- Request and obtain video footage, police reports, and other relevant evidence required to support each case.
- Organize and maintain evidence records to ensure easy access for attorneys and paralegals.
Liability Follow-Up
- Follow up with insurance adjusters and other relevant parties regarding liability determinations.
- Communicate liability status updates to attorneys and provide the required supporting documentation.
Insurance Limits Verification
- Obtain and verify policy limits with the relevant insurance companies.
- Document policy limits accurately in the firm's case management system.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with attorneys,
paralegals, and other team members to support seamless case management.
- Communicate claim status updates to clients clearly and professionally.
- Address client questions and concerns promptly and courteously.
