Role Overview
We are seeking an L1 Storage Infrastructure Specialist to provide day-to-day operational support for IBM DS**** storage, SAN infrastructure, IBM iSeries, and storage replication in a mission-critical banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and support IBM DS**** (DS8K) storage environments.
Perform basic storage provisioning, allocation, and capacity monitoring.
Monitor Metro Mirror / Integral Mirror replication and elevate issues.
Troubleshoot basic storage alerts, connectivity, and performance issues.
Support Cisco MDS and Brocade SAN switches and perform SAN zoning.
Monitor Fibre Channel connectivity, multipathing, and storage paths.
Provide storage‐related support for IBM i / AS400 environments.
Monitor infrastructure using IBM Storage Insights.
Support DR exercises and follow established runbooks.
Monitor Cyber Vault and immutable storage environments.
Handle incidents, requests, and changes following ITIL processes.
Participate in 24x7 production support and escalation activities.
Required Skills
IBM DS**** storage administration/support.
Basic Metro Mirror / Global Mirror knowledge.
IBM i / AS400 storage support.
Cisco MDS and/or Brocade SAN administration.
SAN zoning, Fibre Channel, and multipathing fundamentals.
Storage monitoring and capacity management.
Basic DR and replication concepts.
IBM Storage Insights.
ITIL-based incident and change management.
Preferred
Banking/financial-services experience.
Exposure to Cyber Vault and immutable storage.
IBM Storage certifications.
Basic Shell or Python scripting.
