We’re hiring: Engineering & Maintenance Director

At Luker Chocolate, we are looking for an Engineering & Maintenance Director to join our Supply Chain team in Bogotá, Colombia.

Luker Chocolate is a Colombian B2B chocolate company that develops high-quality cocoa and chocolate solutions for customers around the world. We work with Fino de Aroma cocoa and are committed to innovation, sustainability, operational excellence, and long-term value creation across the cocoa chain.

This role will be responsible for leading engineering, maintenance, CAPEX projects, machinery acquisition, infrastructure initiatives, and technical improvements for our manufacturing operations. The position will play a key role in ensuring that our plants have the right technical capabilities, infrastructure, and maintenance standards to support business growth and service continuity.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead engineering, maintenance, and infrastructure initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Manage CAPEX projects, machinery acquisition, installation, and start-up.
- Ensure project execution within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Lead maintenance strategies to support plant reliability and service levels.
- Manage technical suppliers, machinery negotiations, and infrastructure requirements.
- Consolidate investment needs and manage high-value project budgets.
- Drive standardization, productivity improvement, and cost optimization initiatives.




- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Planning, Purchasing, Finance, Quality, EHS, Logistics, Packaging, and R&D.;

Profile we are looking for

- Professional degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Postgraduate studies in Maintenance Management, Project Management, Engineering, or related areas.
- MBA or Master’s degree is desirable.
- Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience in Engineering and Maintenance within manufacturing plants. Experience in food industry, ingredients, beverages, consumer goods, industrial manufacturing, packaging, chemicals, or related manufacturing environments.
- Experience leading technical teams and managing complex engineering, maintenance, or CAPEX projects.
- Proven experience in machinery installation, infrastructure projects, and supplier negotiation.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience managing high-value project budgets.
- Advanced English level, B2-C1.
- PMI / PMP knowledge or certification is highly desirable.
