DACK Trading LLC is a boutique physical commodity trading company founded in 2018, headquartered in New York. We run physical trading model across in 60+ markets worldwide. We're growing our frozen protein desk and are looking for an experienced Commodity Trader based in Bogotá.
What you'll do
- Originate and close physical trades in frozen beef, pork, poultry, and related protein products
- Build and manage relationships with packers, exporters, and importers across the Americas, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, Incoterms, and payment structures (LCs, CAD, open account with credit insurance)
- Coordinate with our operations team on logistics, reefer container bookings, documentation, and sanitary/export certifications.
- Monitor market trends, pricing,
and regulatory changes affecting integral meat trade
- Grow the desk's volume and margin while maintaining disciplined risk management
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience trading frozen meat or protein in an international physical trading environment
- Established network of suppliers and buyers in the frozen protein sector
- Strong knowledge of cold-chain logistics, sanitary requirements, plant approvals, and export documentation
- Solid understanding of trade finance and counterparty risk
- Fluent in Spanish and English (Portuguese is a plus)
- Commercially driven, self-starting, and comfortable in a lean, fast-moving team
