Role Overview
Join Job Duck as a Personal Injury Litigation Assistant and become a key support partner in a fast paced personal injury law practice. In this role, you will play a critical part in moving litigation matters forward by managing case-related tasks, preparing legal documentation, coordinating depositions, and ensuring attorneys stay organized and prepared. Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM [PST][PDT] (United States of America)
Your Responsibilities Will Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Tracking active cases and ensuring they continue progressing efficiently
- Managing attorney calendars, meetings,
and scheduling requests
- Monitoring case deadlines and supporting the timely completion of litigation tasks
- Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring documentation is properly organized
- Assisting with litigation strategies and case progression activities
- Reviewing and analyzing discovery materials and case-related documentation
- Drafting motions, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Examining case files and legal records to identify critical information
- Providing proactive support with minimal supervision while independently managing complex legal assignments
- Maintaining confidentiality of client and case information at all times
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and administrative efficiency
- Organizing and prioritizing incoming emails and communications
- Coordinating and scheduling depositions with all involved parties
- Preparing attorneys for depositions, hearings, and case-related proceedings
- Collaborating with attorneys and team members to support legal operations
What We’re Looking For:
- Law Degree required
- Advanced legal knowledge and litigation experience required
- Personal Injury experience preferred
- Prosecutorial experience strongly preferred
- Civil Rights litigation experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery processes, and legal documentation
- Ability to independently manage complex case assignments and legal matters
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Exceptional reading comprehension, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of client, case, and firm information
- Comfortable working in a low-call-volume environment with limited phone communication responsibilities
- Reliable computer setup (laptop/PC, headset, stable internet min. 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload)
