Job Summary

We are looking for a results-driven Carrier Sales Representative to source and secure reliable trucking companies for client shipments. This role is responsible for carrier sourcing, rate negotiation, load booking, dispatch, and carrier relationship management, while supporting company revenue and margin goals.

Key Responsibilities
• Source and procure carrier services through spot and transactional rate negotiations.
• Negotiate competitive carrier rates while supporting company revenue and margin goals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective carriers.
• Contact carriers regularly through phone calls and email to build capacity and maintain relationships.
• Verify load postings and identify available loads that require carrier coverage.
• Vet and select carriers based on load requirements, availability, and company standards.
• Negotiate and confirm rates with carriers and ensure accurate rate confirmations.
• Dispatch loads and assign shipments to qualified carriers.




• Verify rate confirmation emails and ensure all load information is accurate.
• Ensure MacroPoint is activated and being used for shipment tracking.
• Check carrier availability and determine whether loads require scheduled appointments.
• Request, confirm, and coordinate pickup and delivery appointments via email or phone.
• Communicate appointment details and requirements to carriers and dispatchers.
• Respond quickly to cancellations, carrier fall-offs, and load recovery situations.
• Assist the Track & Trace team when drivers or dispatchers are unresponsive.
• Communicate with Account Managers regarding accessorial or additional charges requiring approval.
• Request, collect, and submit required carrier documentation.
• Review carrier documents to ensure all information is complete and accurate.
• Maintain accurate load and carrier information within internal systems.
• Manage multiple loads and priorities while meeting operational deadlines.
