Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator – Ocean Imports with 1–2 years of experience in international logistics, ocean freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.

This role is responsible for coordinating inbound LCL and FCL shipments, maintaining accurate shipment documentation, monitoring operational timelines, and supporting the successful movement of ocean imports. The adecuado candidate has hands-on experience with Arrival Notices, Delivery Orders, Bills of Lading, HBL/MBL, AMS, ETA timelines, and U.S. import processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and monitor inbound LCL and FCL ocean shipments from origin through final delivery.
- Review and maintain accurate shipment documentation throughout the import process.
- Process and manage operational documents such as Arrival Notices, Delivery Orders, HBLs, and MBLs.
- Monitor shipment milestones, ETAs, arrival dates, and operational deadlines.
- Coordinate with ocean carriers, coloaders, brokers, clients, and internal teams to ensure timely shipment execution.
- Work with carrier and coloader portals to obtain shipment information and documentation.
- Monitor shipments closely to help prevent delays, storage charges, and missed operational deadlines.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and updates in the applicable TMS/ERP systems.
- Review shipment information for accuracy and identify missing or inconsistent documentation.
- Support U.S. import and CFS-related processes according to account-specific SOPs.
- Track and communicate changes to ETAs, arrival dates, and other important shipment milestones.




- Review freight charges and supporting information, including ocean freight, documentation fees, and additional charges.
- Follow account-specific procedures, templates, and operational requirements.
- Organize and maintain documentation in shared folders and internal systems.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with clients, brokers, carriers, and internal teams.
- Manage multiple shipments simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Requirements

- 1–2 years (12–24 months) of experience in International Logistics, Ocean Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience handling ocean imports and LCL/FCL shipments.
- Experience with operational documentation such as Arrival Notices, Delivery Orders, and Bills of Lading.
- Knowledge of HBL/MBL, AMS, ETA timelines, and U.S. import processes.
- Familiarity with CFS operations and ocean carrier/coloader processes.
- Bachelor's degree, advanced semesters, or Associate Degree (Tecnólogo) in International Trade, International Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- English level: B2+ to C1, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and filters.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under high shipment volume and time-sensitive deadlines.
- Strong teamwork and cross-functional communication skills.
