DACK Trading LLC is a physical commodity trading company founded in 2018 and headquartered in New York, with an operations hub in Bogotá. We trade agricultural and food commodities across 60+ markets.
The Role
We are looking for a senior, business-minded technologist to own DACK's technology: AI, automation, systems, and IT. You'll take over and expand an existing set of automations, AI agents, and productivity tools, and look for new ways to make our trading, sales, and operations teams faster. You'll also manage our IT infrastructure, including leading the migration of our ERP to a self-hosted server, and train the team to get the most out of our systems. The role is part strategist, part builder, and part operator.
What You'll Do
• Own and improve our existing automations across the ERP, Google Workspace, Slack, and internal tools
• Design and deploy AI agents and LLM-based workflows for trade documents, contract execution, and operations
• Build AI-powered sales tools for lead qualification, prospecting, and outreach
• Identify manual processes across the company and redesign them with AI and automation
• Work directly with traders and operations to turn business problems into working tools
• Keep up with new AI capabilities and bring the useful ones into the business
• Lead the migration of our ERP (ERPNext/Frappe) from a hosted service to a self-hosted server, and maintain it afterward (updates, backups, security, uptime)
• Manage all IT for the company: user accounts, Google Workspace administration, devices, access, and cybersecurity
• Train employees on our ERP, AI tools, and internal systems through courses, documentation, and hands-on sessions
• Serve as the go-to person for all technology questions and support across New York and Bogotá
