8am is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team. The Staff Accountant plays a key role in the month-end close process and will report to the GL Accounting Manager. The idóneo candidate will have a solid accounting background, comprehensive understanding of
GAAP and strong analytical and problem-solving skills

What you'll do:

• Perform month-end close functions for multiple entities

• Prepare journal entries

• Analyze and book accruals for pending invoices, open purchase orders,
contracts, and credit card transactions

• Reconcile, provide supporting documentation and detailed analysis for
assigned balance sheet accounts

• Review and provide notes from detailed analysis to assigned cost center
income statement for month over month and year over year variances

• Perform actual to budget/forecast Income Statement review for assigned cost
center

• Cross train with accounting team on prepaids, fixed assets, and other functional areas
