About The Role
The GBA Core Infrastructure / Deposits team builds and operates the platform that makes Nubank accounts work. Whenever money enters or leaves an account, our systems create and manage the deposit records behind balances, calculate yield and taxes, and make funds available for payments, transfers, Pix, debit card purchases and other customer transactions.
We are evolving country-specific legacy systems into a general deposits platform that can support different products, regulations and markets with less duplication and safer expansion.
This is a backend transactional systems role at the intersection of distributed systems, accounting, regulation and product platforms.
As a Staff Software Engineer — Deposits, you will be one of the team’s primary technical leaders, shaping the platform’s medium- and long-term evolution while remaining hands-on in the most critical and complex areas.

• Defining and evolving the target architecture and technical strategy for the global Deposits platform.
• Guiding the next stages of the platform and sequencing migrations from legacy systems while balancing safety, business priorities, regulatory requirements and sustainable delivery.
