Skills and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Design Development: Develop and review designs (documents and drawings) and incorporate comments, in accordance with specific requests from the Engineering and Projects departments, using software, the Office suite, and applicable standards, to meet the requirements of each discipline.
- Man-Hour Tracking: Record the man-hours spent on each deliverable/activity in the man-hour tracking and control system established by the company, in order to ensure that deliverables are produced without a negative man-hour deficit.
- Technical Quality Management of Deliverables: Use the tools and methods established by the company to control the quality of deliverables, in accordance with the specialty to which you are assigned, using the defined standards and control schemes, in order to ensure that all projects meet the quality and compliance parameters defined in each project’s Quality Plan and Value Promise.
- Estimation of Work Quantities:
Estimate and review work quantities according to your area of expertise, based on design documents, for budgeting purposes.
- Support for Client Technical Inquiries: Assist the Specialist Engineer and/or Project Manager with technical inquiries raised by the client, participating in formal and regular meetings with the Specialist Engineer or the Specialty Manager to properly address concerns and remain vigilant for scope changes that require immediate implementation of change control measures.
- In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the employee may be required to perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by their supervisor or management. These duties will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization.
