Skills and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Design Development: Develop and review designs (documents and drawings) and incorporate feedback, in accordance with specific requests from the Engineering and Projects departments, using software, the Office suite, and applicable standards, in order to meet the requirements of each discipline.
- Man-Hour Tracking: Record the man-hours spent on each deliverable/activity in the man-hour tracking and control system established by the company, in order to ensure that deliverables are produced without a negative man-hour deficit.
- Technical Quality Management of Deliverables: Use the tools and methods established by the company to control the quality of deliverables, in accordance with the specialty to which you are assigned, using the defined standards and control schemes, in Order to ensure that all projects meet the quality and compliance parameters defined in each project’s Quality Plan and Value Promise.
- Estimation of Work Quantities (According to Specialty): Estimate and review work quantities according to the specialty, based on design documents, for budgeting purposes.
- Support for Client Technical Inquiries; Assist the Specialist Engineer and/or Project Manager with technical inquiries raised by the client, participating in formal and regular meetings with the Specialist Engineer or the Specialty Manager in order to properly address concerns and remain vigilant for scope changes that require the immediate implementation of change control measures.
Your Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience
Qualifications, Education, and Certifications
- High school diploma or technical high school diploma.
- Drafting Technician, Technical Degree, or Technologist in a related Civil discipline.
- Basic to Intermediate English proficiency (preferred).
- Proficiency in Civil 3D software.
- Knowledge of terrain morphology
