The Dispatcher I is responsible for overseeing and documenting the pickup and delivery of local shipments, as well as coordinating and communicating shipment information between drivers and delivery agents.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for routing local freight, dispatching drivers, performing dock checks, tracking shipments, working with dock staff members to ensure movement of freight.
- Timely event data entry of shipment milestones into tracking systems – pickup, delivery, obtain proof of delivery.
- Provide customer service to identify and meet specific customer needs. Answer/make customer inquiry calls and address customer concerns/complaints.
- Assign driver load planning based on local mapping & appointments accordingly.
- Identifying and coordinating the prioritization of rushed/urgent/last minute shipments.
- Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.

Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in dispatching, logistics coordination or transportation management industry.




- Familiarity with final mile delivery operations and routing software (e.g., DispatchTrack, Onfleet, Roadnet).
- Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills with abilities to develop new ideas and innovative solutions.
- High attention to details and organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
