IBM iSeries (AS/400) Infrastructure Administrator – L3

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support IBM i / AS/400 systems at L3 level.
- Manage IBM i OS, system configurations, PTFs, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and health.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware, OS, networking, storage, and system-level issues.
- Manage user profiles, authorities, security, subsystems, jobs, queues, and system objects.
- Perform backup, recovery, high-availability, and disaster-recovery activities.
- Support BRMS and backup/recovery operations.
- Analyze system logs, job logs, messages, and performance data to identify root causes.
- Coordinate with application, database, network, and infrastructure teams for production incidents.




- Perform HA/DR failover and recovery testing.
- Automate administration and operational tasks using CL/CLLE, IBM i scripting, or similar tools.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Provide technical documentation and L3 knowledge transfer.
