About the Opportunity

Solurail is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer or Industrial Electrical Specialist based in Cartagena, Colombia, who is interested in relocating to Canada.

The successful candidate will specialize in the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems installed on port, intermodal, railway, and heavy industrial equipment.

This opportunity is intended for a hands-on professional who can combine strong technical knowledge with practical field experience. The selected candidate must be willing to relocate to Canada and adapt to Canadian operational, safety, and environmental conditions.

Main Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic problems on port, railway, intermodal, and heavy equipment.




- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot motors, generators, control panels, sensors, relays, contactors, wiring, and power distribution systems.
- Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled and electro-hydraulic systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, manuals, and equipment documentation.
- Inspect equipment and identify electrical, mechanical, or operational deficiencies.
- Support equipment commissioning, modifications, upgrades, and field repairs.
- Work on equipment such as reach stackers, container-handling equipment, cranes, loaders, locomotives, rail equipment, conveyor systems, and other industrial machinery.
- Document inspections, diagnoses, repairs, parts used, and recommended corrective actions.
- Coordinate with mechanics, operators, supervisors, manufacturers, and equipment suppliers.
- Follow all Canadian workplace health, safety, electrical, and environmental requirement
