Position Title: Senior Backend Engineer
Location: Remote-LATAM
What you will be doing:
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong JVM expertise and hands-on experience building distributed systems at scale. The adecuado candidate has deep experience with Kotlin and Spring Boot, designing reliable APIs and event-driven services, optimizing PostgreSQL workloads, and troubleshooting production systems.
Current, production-level Kotlin experience is mandatory.
Java-only candidates will not qualify.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the JVM ecosystem.
- Current production experience with Kotlin — mandatory.
- Strong Java/JVM fundamentals; Java-only experience is not sufficient.
- 3+ years designing, building, and troubleshooting distributed systems at scale.
- Experience with AI, claude code, working with agents and orchestration.
