Organizational context:

UN Women in Colombia supports the strengthening of state institutions for gender mainstreaming and the promotion of women's political participation free from violence. This consultancy supports the District Secretariat of Women in strengthening the technical, operational, and institutional capacity of the District Multiparty Gender Roundtable, fostering safe and equal political participation.

Job purpose:

This consultancy aims to technically strengthen the District Multiparty Gender Roundtable to promote safe, egalitarian, and violence-free political participation for women. The consultant will coordinate inter-institutional efforts, monitor commitments, generate technical inputs, and build the capacity of political and institutional actors. The goal is to enhance the prevention and attention to violence against women in politics, ensuring robust democratic processes and the full citizenship of women.

Responsibilities:

The consultant will provide technical and methodological support for the planning, organization,



and development of the District Multiparty Gender Roundtable sessions, including agenda preparation, stakeholder coordination, and technical input. They will serve as the Technical Secretariat, preparing minutes, tracking commitments, and consolidating information. Responsibilities include monitoring commitments from roundtable members, fostering articulation with political parties and district entities to prevent and address violence against women in politics. The consultant will also support the development and updating of technical documents, methodologies, and protocols for preventing and addressing violence against women in politics, and assist in developing capacity-building strategies for political actors and institutions. Analysis and consolidation of information on women's political participation and gender-based political violence in Bogotá will be conducted, along with supporting inter-institutional coordination and
